Dr. Robbins
received a B.A. in Psychology from Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y.
He attended medical school at Columbia University's College of
Physicians and Surgeons, graduating in 1982. He completed both a
Residency in Adult Psychiatry and a Fellowship in Child and Adolescent
Psychiatry at New York Hospital - Cornell Medical Center, Westchester
Division, in White Plains, N.Y. and in Manhattan from 1982 to 1987.
He moved to Northern Virginia in 1987.
He has worked in
In-Patient settings as an attending psychiatrist, as the Director of
an Adolescent Day Treatment Program (American Day Treatment), and in
Out-Patient settings since then. He is currently only doing
outpatient care.
He refers to
Fairfax Hospital, Dominion Hospital, and Children's Hospital National
Medical Center for patients who are in need of inpatient treatment.
He refers to both The Kellar Center and to Dominion Hospital's Day
Treatment Programs for patients in need of partial hospitalization or
day treatment.
Dr. Robbins
provides diagnostic evaluations, psychotherapy and psychopharmacology
services for children, adolescents, and adults. He does not work
with geriatric patients. He has special experience and interest
in working with patients with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity
Disorder, eating disorders, affective disorders, and gender identity
disorders.
Available Monday through Friday, mornings,
afternoons and some evenings.
