Dr. Campbell is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who works with children (9 and up), adolescents, and adults. Dr. Campbell has over eight years of experience providing individual and couples therapy, psychological evaluations, and emergency mental health assessments.
Dr. Campbell specializes in a broad range of psychological and behavioral issues that are of clinical concern such as Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Neurodevelopmental Disorders (ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Autism), Schizophrenia Spectrum Disorders, Grief and Loss, life issues, and other life challenges. Dr. Campbell is also experienced in psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults (ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Social-emotional, Psycho-educational, and differential diagnosis). Dr. Campbell is accepting testing referrals. Appropriate testing referrals include children age five and older through adulthood.
Dr. Campbell’s approach to therapy is strengths-based and holistic. Dr. Campbell combines elements of psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and client-centered evidence-based therapies to help individuals accomplish their therapy goals. Dr. Campbell works collaboratively with each individual, build a strong therapeutic bond, and sees therapy as an evolving process that includes trauma informed care. Dr. Campbell will work with you to create goals and re-evaluate progress throughout treatment.
Dr. Campbell’s hope for you through therapy is to achieve greater self-awareness, self-acceptance, and overall happiness so that you can live a more satisfying and comfortable life. She strives to be empathic and supportive while also gently guiding and challenging you towards deeper self-understanding, emotional expression, and personal growth.
Dr. Campbell received her B.A. degree in psychology from CUNY Hunter College, New York, NY. She later completed her M.A. degree in Forensic Psychology from Argosy University in Arlington, VA, and Ph.D. from Walden University in Minneapolis, MN. Dr. Campbell completed her Pre-Doctoral Internship at the Women’s Center in Vienna, VA, and her Post-Doctoral studies at the Family Center in Falls Church, VA.
