Ms. Mikhel Wirtanen has been working in the mental health field since 2011. She received her Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from George Mason University in 2017, but she has been a part of the CFCG team since 2016 working under the supervision of Mr. Peter Gross, LCSW.
Mikhel has experience working as a Counselor at the National Suicide Hotline, at a Crisis Stabilization Unit, and at various mental health residential treatment centers throughout the area. Utilizing an attachment and client centered approach; Mikhel provides Psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults in individual, family, couples, and Group Therapy settings.
Special interests include Child Centered Play Therapy, utilizing the creative arts as healing tools to cope with Relationship Issues, and working with Highly Sensitive ( HSP) children, teens, and adults.
